In an effort to transform Brunei Darussalam into a regional centre for premium seafood processing and an integral link in the global seafood supply chain, Gropoint Sendirian Berhad, a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its Seafood Processing Plant Project was held. The groundbreaking ceremony took place at Serasa Fisheries Centre. The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Coordinating Minister For Economic Policies and Minister Of Economy, Trade And Industry.

The proposed facility will serve as an integrated seafood processing platform focusing on tuna and other value-added seafood products for regional and international markets. With a planned processing capacity of up to 60 metric tonnes per day and annual throughput of more than 20 thousand metric tonnes, the project also places strong emphasis on food safety, product quality, responsible sourcing, and compliance with internationally recognised standards. Also present was Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
